The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The most important role of ulama is reviving the name of God in human hearts. A society which has not God is empty, while with God it has everything.”

On Thursday evening, July 7, 2021, at the ceremony to commemorate ulama and two cleric martyrs of Chaboksar in the Hojat ibn Al-Hassan Al-Askari (a.s.) Mosque of the city, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “Such ceremonies should be held in all regions of the province. Gilan has many dignitaries in philosophy, mysticism, mathematics, and various fields of science, among which we can mention Kushyar Gilani, Mohammadi Gilani, etc.”

“It has been proposed to establish a museum for dignitaries in different fields of Gilan. Throughout history, the significant role of ulama has been guiding, educating, and teaching the society,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Teaching and educating society is the position of divine prophets, and ulama are the heirs of prophets. Throughout history, scholars have always been role models for the society. Many are conspiring to separate the clergy from the society and people,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“Some intellectuals argue that the Quran is just true dreams [for the Prophet], or they deny the existence of Imam Mahdi (a.s.). The Quran is a divine book that contains about 400 verses about jihad and resistance. We must confront the tyrants and perform our duty in this field. The enemy seeks to raise doubts about hadiths, the Holy Quran, etc.” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“We must act upon the Quranic verses, and we must refer to them in our affairs. Today, religion has been entrusted to us,” he clarified.

“Islam has reached us with the great efforts of many ulama. Duties and prohibitions for us are determined by Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence),” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“There are manners towards God, oneself and others, and every individual has the duty to educate himself first, so that he can properly play his role in the society,” he continued.

“The knowledge that God teaches to man is light,” the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “The Islamic society must grow with knowledge, and if there is knowledge, the society will progress.”

“Divine scholars invite people’s hearts to God. Society needs morality and spirituality, and if we fail to inculcate spirituality and morality in our society, it will not be different from other societies,” he mentioned.

“Seminaries can be outstanding if they can be the flag bearers of spiritual education,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“Spirituality and ethics inspire people in their lives, and contemplation causes transformation in human life,” he stated.

“Intellectuals like Nietzsche argue that God should be removed from human society. This is while the outstanding role of religious scholars is to revive the name of God in human hearts, which causes the revival of man and human society. A society which has not God is empty, while with God it has everything,” emphasized the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“If there is no place for God in man’s heart, man will not benefit from any truth. Today, human society has acknowledged that there is a superior truth. If man does not accept that superior truth, his life will be in vain, and it will cause depression; what is common in the West. Therefore, they want to establish some clinics to define identity for people,” Ayatollah Ramazani concluded.
