In her life, Lady Zahra (a.s.) established perfect balance between religion and the material world: Shayesteh Haidar

On the birth anniversary of Lady Zahra (a.s.) and Women’s Week, the first virtual and international meeting of women followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) with the officials of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

In this meeting, referring to the need to follow the example of Lady Zahra (a.s.), Shayesteh Haidar, an activist at the Imam Ali (a.s.) Center in Lugano, Switzerland, stated, “On behalf of Muslim women in Switzerland, I say by understanding the actions and behavior of Lady Zahra (a.s.), and adapting it to today’s conditions, we can learn from the life of this noble lady.”

“All human beings naturally need to follow the example of a person and use his or her methods and manners as a life strategy. Since we are Muslims and our main source is the Holy Quran, God has introduced important role models for us in the Quran. The most important role model for us in this heavenly book is the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and his family, including Lady Zahra (a.s.), who is the best role model for us women,” she continued.

“Although centuries have passed since the martyrdom of Lady Zahra (a.s.), we can emulate this noble lady and learn lessons from her life and apply them to our daily lives. Lady Zahra (a.s.) is a great role model for us. We can follow the example of this noble lady in matters such as respect and love for her husband and children, which is not limited to a specific period,” added the activist woman in Imam Ali (a.s.) center of Switzerland.

“Despite her young age, this noble lady was a multidimensional person who did her best for her family and children. Lady Zahra (a.s.) is a role model for women today and her educational methods can be used for us as well. One of the remarkable things about him is his upbringing, love, and affection for his children. This noble lady raised her children with love in the family. Lady Zahra (a.s.) paid attention to the issue of spiritual education of her children and raised her children in such a way that they, with their worldview, preferred worshiping and pleasure of God to anything material,” stated Shayesteh Haidar, referring to the characteristics of Lady Zahra (a.s.).

“Lady Zahra (a.s.) established a perfect balance between religion and the material world and became a role model for our lives. This noble lady also participated in social issues and showed that a Muslim woman can have an active presence in society, without distancing herself from role models. Unfortunately, there is often a perception among Muslim women that if they do not stay at home and are present in society, they cannot follow the example of Lady Zahra (a.s.). The practical life of Lady Zahra (a.s.) showed us women in a tangible way how we can have an active presence in society by maintaining hijab and chastity. When we examine the life of Lady Zahra (a.s.), we find that thanks to her firm faith in God, she overcame every problem in her life and was always subject to the God’s will,” she continued.

“The married life of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Lady Zahra (a.s.) was based on a religious and moral relationship without forgetting the love and affection for the spouse. Lady Zahra (a.s.) loved her husband Imam Ali (a.s.) so much that we cannot see such love and affection except between the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and Lady Khadijah (a.s.),” added the activist woman in the Imam Ali (a.s.) Center in Switzerland.

“Western life today causes a couple to part ways early in their married life instead of focusing on love. We must guide people and teach them the way of life through educational methods and following the example of Lady Zahra (a.s.),” she mentioned.
