Muslims all indebted to Hazrat Abu Talib: Rabbani

41st pre-conference of the International Conference “Hazrat Abu Talib, Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” was held on Saturday morning March 6, 2021, virtually and in-person in Qom. The session was organized by Zorria al-Nabawia Research Institute and “Research Institute on Proximity” of “The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought” and was held in the form of Webinar “The role of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) and the Talebian from the point of view of Allameh Sayed Mohammad Mahdi Kharsan”.

The third speaker of the conference was the academic secretary of the conference “Umana al-Rasul” (Trustee of the Prophets) who delivered his speech on knowing the situation and timely action against doubts, suspicions, and attacks against the Shiites and the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).

“According to the narrations, defending the beliefs of the Shiites against the enemy's attacks is one of the duties of the Ulema (Religious Scholars). Among the scholars who were active in this field was Allameh Kharsan who took effective measures. Since the Prophet time (p.b.u.h), we have witnessed constant attacks and suspicions against the school of AhlulBayt (a.s.) by the enemies. The ulama reacted to these attacks and suspicions in two ways: Some of them responded to the suspicions; But some others took a further look and looked at the issue as a part of a stream. We see the investigating the streams of suspicions and attacks of the enemy in the approach of some scholars and elders,” stated Hojat al-Islam Muhammad Taqi Rabbani, referring to the duties of the ulama.

“One of the characteristics of Ayatollah Kharsan was his presence in the field of responding to suspicions and attacks on religion. He would enter on any issue he felt needed. For example, he wrote books on the suspicions which raised on issues, including “Rad al-Shams”, “Mohsen Shahid” and “Azan”,” he continued.

“In the face of suspicions, Allameh Kharsan did not confine himself to entering the arena and answering suspicions. Rather, he had a viewed the issues as part of stream. He revived those who were in contact with Imam Ali (a.s.) and in this regard wrote the encyclopedia of Ibn Abbas in 21 volumes which was selected as the book of the year of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” added the academic secretary of the conference “Umana al-Rasul”.

“One of the strategic measures taken by the Umayyads was to target anyone who was connected to the axis of Imam Ali (a.s.), either during the life of the Imam or after him. Raising the suspicions about Abu Talib (a.s.) was an organized plan by the Umayyad, an action that had a (negative) effect on some people. Even some of the issues we narrate on Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) are affected by this issue. We must look at these issues with as parts of streams and recognize the movement of Nifaq (hypocrisy) on time and fight it,” he continued.

“One of our weaknesses is that we do not have a Taqiya-based lifestyle (hiding the real belief), and in this field we act according to personal taste. The lifestyle of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is a model in this field and by studying his life we can reach valuable solutions for interaction with others. All of us, Muslims and Shiites, are deeply indebted to Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) and this debt has not been repaid yet,” Rabbani stated.
