This book is a compilation and research by Ayatollah Ramazani, whose primary essence is the Kharij Fiqh sessions on the topic of “Apostasy”, which were held in 2010 and 2011 for the clergy and scholars of Islamic jurisprudence.

The main approach of the book “Apostasy” is to explain and promote Al-Jawahiri Fiqh in the contemporary era, and to shed light on the unique capacity of Shiite jurisprudence in addressing new issues. Another goal of this research is to demonstrate the rationality of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) jurisprudence and its power to govern society.

Among the important topics of the book are the types of apostasy, apostasy and its relationship with related concepts, the general and specific conditions of apostasy, the causes of apostasy and its rulings.

A part of this book reads. “During the time of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and other periods of history, apostasy and leaving the religion were not considered just an intellectual and theoretical error and mistake. Rather, in many cases, it is a political act carried out with the aim of weakening the foundations of religion. This issue was clearly visible during the time of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), and it is mentioned in the Holy Quran. What are the legal and jurisprudential consequences of Sharia’s confrontation with apostasy as a destructive and biased movement, and apostasy as a mistake and intellectual weakness? Does changing the formulation of the issue of apostasy interfere with the formation of the ruling or is it to adapt the issue? This book is written to answer these questions with an ijtihad jurisprudential approach.”

The book “Apostasy” was prepared by the “Religious and Ethics Institute” in 2024 and published by Sahifeh Marafet Publications in medium octavo size in 262 pages.
