IRI supports struggle of the oppressed against the arrogant: Official
The Head of the International Communications Department of the Office of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution stated, “Resistance is not only defined in the ranks of war but also includes all the steps to convince the other party to claim the rights. Of course, humiliating negotiation is off the table of resistance.”
ABWA Official Website – In the “Resistance and Security” conference, which was held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in the meeting hall of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Qom, the head of the Department of International Communications of the Office of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution said, “The resistance can be studied from different aspects.”
Dr. Mahdi Mostafavi continued, “According to its constitution, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on the rejection and acceptance of domination. Iran considers the rule of law to be the right of all the people of the world and supports the struggle of the oppressed against the arrogant.”
“The constitution has outlined duties for us that we must fulfill,” he continued, “On the other hand, peaceful interactions should be used to achieve the right. This is where the diplomatic, formal, and informal talks arise. Sometimes legal methods do not work; therefore, hard methods are suggested. If legal talks and economic pressures do not work, coercive force will be used.”
The head of the International Communications Department of the Supreme Leader’s Office emphasized, “Countries try to increase their deterrent power. Deterrence is defined both in the field of soft power and in the field of hard power. Countries try to increase their power, and increasing power means resistance.”

Resistance is not only for Muslims, and others also resist to assert their rights. But the significant and essential difference between the resistance of us Muslims and non-Muslims is that if we Muslims trust in God and adhere to divine values, God’s grace will be granted to us,” Dr. Mostafavi said at the end.
