Resistance, Shiite, Sunni issue: Ayatollah Ramazani
The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “So far, Shiite and Sunni leaders have been martyred in the way of resistance and confronting the Zionist regime. Basically, in the field of resistance, Shiite and Sunni are not the issue. Some are seeking to create sedition in this regard, but when we study the resistance from a sociological perspective, we realize that Shiite and Sunni are not relevant in this regard.”

World Assembly referred to the regional situation and the struggles of Islamic fighters in Gaza and Lebanon and reacted to a statement that was apparently issued in the name of the Qom Seminary.
Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “I consider it necessary to point out some points about the war in Gaza, which has lasted for a year. Because some people have taken the position that “to prevent massacres there is no obstacle to recognize the Zionist regime and recognize the two countries of Palestine and Israel”!”
Referring to the history of the establishment of the Zionist regime, he said, “The usurper Israel, which has recognized itself since 1948, has always sought occupation and oppression. Based on its twenty-four protocols and the supremacist point of view, the Zionist regime is trying to form the so-called promised land and enslave the world so that everyone becomes their servant. Therefore, the most racist people in the world, that is the Zionists, are trying to make all the people their servants. They claim that the world will reach a stage in terms of understanding where a certain group of people, the Zionists, will be served, and others will become their servants.”
Regarding the formation of resistance against the Zionist occupation, professor of Dars Kharij of Qom Seminary said, “Since the beginning of the Zionist occupation, Mujahideen like Sheikh Izz ad-Din al-Qassam started resistance, which later became the Intifada. In the following, due to some political communication, through the Oslo I agreement in 1993, Oslo II in 1995, and the notorious Camp David agreement, the issue of the formation of the Palestinian Authority was raised. Yasser Arafat, who was initially the head of the Palestine Liberation Organization, eventually settled for the Palestinian Authority. But as time went on, the Zionist regime did not adhere to the amount that was considered the right of Palestinian sovereignty in the self-governing state.”
Referring to the massacre of Palestinians in Sabra and Shatila by Zionists, he said, “The occupying regime gathered the Zionists of the world in occupied Palestine, developed the occupation in various forms, and displaced the Palestinian people and expelled them from their territories. Consider that during the 76 years of occupation since 1948, how much of the Palestinian land is in the hands of the occupying regime and how much is in the hands of the Palestinians? Of course, the Zionists will not be satisfied with this. Because they have made “Nile to Euphrates” their slogan and strategy, and they have always sought occupation and oppression. They cross these strongholds and advance step by step. Netanyahu says that the regime is fighting on 7 fronts. These are their first, second, and third strongholds. It is not unlikely that they will attack Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and other Islamic countries in the future.”
Referring to the history of the Zionists violating agreements, Ayatollah Ramazani expressed, “By studying the history of the Zionists, we understand that the Zionist regime does not adhere to any resolutions or statements. I wish those who speak immature words would read all the statements and resolutions of the United Nations against the Zionist regime. The regime that has violated UN statements and resolutions the most is the Zionist regime. We cannot find any regime in the world that has violated the laws to such an extent as the child-killing, tyrannical, and domineering Zionist regime.”
“In a detailed speech in Hamburg, I mentioned every case of the violation of laws by the Zionist regime in different years, and I said that the Zionists always seek to violate the laws. The Zionist regime is a tyrant, oppressor, greedy, criminal, and ruthless entity that wants to enslave all humanity, and in this way, it does not spare any kind of brutality,” he continued.
Regarding the crimes committed by the Zionists in Gaza, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The criminal regime has no qualms about killing children in Gaza. Today, Gaza has become a big prison in the world. We witness the displacement of more than two million, and the martyrdom of more than 50,000 people, which continues every day. The Zionists seek to develop their crimes on a daily basis, without retreating for a moment, and if they raise the issue of withdrawal and ceasefire, it is so that they can return their prisoners, or re-equip themselves, or it is because of the political conditions of the world and the American elections. Therefore, they may agree to a temporary ceasefire, which, of course, they do not believe in, and consider it as a tactic.”

In sessions and meetings, the greatness of this figure was evident. In the meeting we had with Sayed, this nobleman was very polite and fully aware of the issues of the Islamic world, today’s world, human society, the challenges and harms of the domination and dictatorial system, and global arrogance. We can barely find such a great figure. His martyrdom is literally an irreparable loss. We also had meetings with Martyr Sayed Hashem Safieddine. He was also a very polite and knowledgeable man. They were the exact example of politeness, jihad, and struggle, and in the literal sense, they were Mujahideen in the cause of Allah. Martyr Ismail Haniyeh and Martyr Yahya Sinwar also fought for the Resistance and showed bravery and strength on the battlefield. They are an example of the Quranic verse “إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ” (Lo! those who say: Our Lord is Allah, and afterward are upright, the angels descend upon them, saying: Fear not nor grieve, but hear good tidings of the paradise which ye are promised) (Quran, 41: 30). These prominent figures, and other mujahids like Martyr Nilforoushan, had no fear of death and martyrdom.”
“Determining the fate of the Palestinians is in their own hands. Palestinians should have their opinion about Palestine, and the Palestinian government will be formed with the votes of the Palestinians. Why do others provide solutions for them? This is the correct view, not to propose the recognition of Israel. Israel does not adhere to anything. The Palestinians themselves have considered the only solution to be resistance, and no one has imposed anything on them. They have considered the only way to freedom is resistance, neither surrender nor recognition of Israel. Recognizing Israel means recognizing the regime’s crimes. Basically, Zionists do not adhere and believe in anything.”
In response to the statement issued by some people, Ayatollah Ramazani added, “Some who have no identity, without paying attention to the public diplomacy of the Palestinian nation, express their opinions about them. They are not accountable but cause public confusion. Recognition of what and with what identity? Palestine is the oppressed of the whole history, and the issue of Palestine is not a geographical matter, but an issue of the Islamic world. Our Sayed Imam Khamenei’s defense of Palestine is the defense of Islam and the oppressed of the era.”
He further said, “By studying the fatwas of Sunni and Shiite scholars – recently published in a comprehensive book – from Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Iran, and grand sources of emulation of Najaf and Qom, we realize that fighting the Zionist regime as a cancerous tumor is the common understanding of all great Islamic scholars. Should we recognize Israel under the pretext of preventing bloodshed?! The Zionists have not adhered to any agreement, and we have already seen an example of this fact during the time of Yasser Arafat. Yasser Arafat recognized the Zionist regime in the Oslo I and II and the Camp David Agreements. What happened next? The fake regime intensified and escalated its crimes! With the recognition of the Zionists, will they stop their crimes and massacres? Do some have such delusions, and do they have such an understanding of Zionists? These people’s understanding of Zionism is regrettable. Those who talk like this have no proper identity and are not familiar with Palestinian public diplomacy. Palestine is for the Palestinians, and they themselves should decide their fate. The Palestinians have considered the only way for their salvation to be resistance. Because the others already have taken deviant paths and failed. The recognition of the Zionist regime has been done for some time, but it has led to the increase and expansion of their crimes.”
Regarding the determination of Mujahideen and fighters to confront the Zionist regime, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “In meeting with some mujahids, we saw them as young people who love God. The fingers of some of them were cut off and their eyes were hurt. But they said with conviction: “Pray to God that make us steadfast in this path”.”
At the end of his speech, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The divine promise is the victory of the Palestinian mujahids, and the victory of the truth is one of the divine traditions. God has promised that He will help those who help Him. “يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ” (O you who have faith! If you help Allah, He will help you and make your feet steady) (Holy Quran, 47: 7).”
