The professor of higher levels of Qom seminary stated, “Imam Ali (a.s.) is one of the graduates of the Holy Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) school. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said in this regard that God educated and trained him, and he educated and trained Imam Ali (a.s.).”

ABWA Official Website – On Tuesday evening, September 17, 2024, the session “The Ethics of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), and the Elevation of Human Values” was held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (a.s.), with the presence of Ayatollah Morteza Torabi, and Hojat al- Islam Sayed Hussain Razavi, one of the prominent Turkish professors of Qom Seminary, in the meeting conference hall of ABNA News Agency.

At the beginning of the session, Hojat al-Salam Sayed Hussain Razavi, hadith researcher and editor of the book Uyoun Akhbar Al-Ridha (by Al-Shaykh al-Saduq), spoke about the important traditions of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). “The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) divided his daytime into three parts: a part for worship, a part for taking care of his family, and a part for addressing people’s affairs. During the time that the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) allocated to address people’s affairs, all social classes referred to him. If today the same thing is considered, many individual and social problems will be solved. Even in government affairs, if the officials consider this division, the government will be run in the best way.”

In the next part of his speech, he mentioned the importance of addressing moral issues during the Holy Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) era. “In different civilizations, women’s rights were neglected. By explaining the rights of women, the Prophet (p.b.u.h) emphasized their equality with men. He said that the only thing that makes a difference in the status of people is the amount of their piety, and he highlighted that nothing, including gender, color, race, nationality, and ethnicity, is a sign of superiority.”

The position of justice in the Holy Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) teachings

Further, the editor of the book Uyoun Akhbar Al-Ridha (by Al-Shaykh al-Saduq), expressed, “There are many human ethical values, some of which are of special importance. One of the most important moral values is justice, which starts from the individual and extends to society. Justice even is defined toward a person himself. That is, for a person who is sick, justice rules that he should not do injustice to his body and treat his illness by visiting a doctor. The most beautiful concept of justice is taken from the teachings of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h).”

“The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, “Whoever utters the word “لا اله الا الله” )there is no god but Allah), his life, wealth, family, and honor are safe,” And even suspicion against him is not allowed, let alone excommunicated for some of his beliefs. In order to realize high human values in all human spheres, we Muslims are awaiting the day when the justice-maker (Imam Mahdi) reappears in the world, and all people will taste the sweetness of the moral teachings of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h),” Razavi noted.

Imam Ali (a.s.) was educated in the school of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h)

In another part of the session, Ayatollah Sheikh Morteza Torabi, a commentator and one of the high-level professors of the Qom seminary, spoke about the aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h).

In this regard, he said, “According to the Quranic verses, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had two life dimensions. One was related to his relationship with Almighty God, and the other aspect was related to his relationship with the people of the society. Based on Islamic teachings, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was raised according to divine teachings. In a hadith, we read that after his childhood (2 years old), the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was brought up under the supervision of God’s Archangel, Gabriel, who taught the Prophet divine teachings.”

About the educational period of Imam Ali (a.s.), Torabi said, “Imam Ali in a beautiful way described his educational period “Like a child who follows his mother, I eagerly followed the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and learned religious teachings from him, and every day the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) taught me one moral virtue.” The question may be raised that such training is not feasible for anyone except the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). In response, it should be said that according to the Quran, which introduces the Prophet (p.b.u.h) as the best role model, it is possible for other people to achieve a part of Prophet’s religious education by following his example.”

Torabi considered the moral dimension of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) as a miracle, like other aspects of his life. “It has been narrated in history that some followers of other religions had appointed agents to carefully monitor the Holy Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) life, so that they could find at least one flaw or small defect in his life, and by spreading this flaw in the society, they prevent people from turning towards the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). The same people admitted that there was no flaw in the life of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), even before his Prophethood. Imam Ali (a.s.) is one of the students at the school of the Prophet (p.b.u.h). The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said in this regard that God educated and trained him, and he educated and trained Imam Ali (a.s.).”

Regarding the characteristics of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), Ayatollah Torabi stated, “According to hadiths, compassion, mercy, and love were among the most important characteristics of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). According to history, he suffered the greatest persecution in Mecca. Nevertheless, after conquering the city, he chanted the slogan “Today is the day of mercy and forgiveness.” Some, with extensive propaganda, claim that Islam is the religion of the sword! While this claim is totally false. According to history, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had 63 wars during his lifetime, in which the number of dead from both sides has been reported from 600 people to more than 2000 people, and this number of dead is one-tenth of those present in these wars. Also, history says that more than 15 million military personnel participated in the Second World War, but its dead were more than 54 million people! That is, several times the number of military personnel present in this war, innocent civilians were killed. It’s worth mentioning that this war happened in a period when humanity claimed democracy and freedom!”

The silence of the Arab countries in the face of the Palestinian people’s call for help

Further in his speech, Ayatollah Torabi about the situation in Palestine and Gaza said, “One of the most important moral characteristics of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) was his support for justice. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said in a hadith: “An hour’s dedication to justice is better than seventy years of day and night worship.” From these statements, we understand the extent Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) paid attention to justice, which is one of the most important missing things of mankind today. Justice is clearly seen in all aspects of the Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) life, one of the greatest concepts that world Muslims should pay attention to. Today, in Gaza, we see innocent people crying for help, and unfortunately, some Islamic countries are indifferent to the call and keep silent in the face of all this oppression. I don’t know how some Arab leaders call themselves Muslims, when, according to the Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) words, “if a Muslim does not respond to the plea of an oppressed person, he is not a Muslim”.”

“We Muslims are awaiting the world’s great justice-maker (Imam Mahdi) to reappear, who will annihilate the oppression and tyranny, and this justice is the greatest hope that is given to the Islamic Ummah so that, despite all hardships, will not stop trying,” Torabi said at the end of his speech.
