The representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Submission to oppression has no place in the culture of Ashura and the Holy Quran. Islamic Revolution of Iran has always stood against oppression.”

ABWA Official Website – On Friday, July 28, 2023, during the mourning ceremony on Ashura Day at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah Ukhra (a.s.), Rasht, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, stated, “Participating in the mourning ceremony for Imam Hussain (a.s.) and benefiting spiritually from the days of Muharram is to reach the closeness of God and the AhlulBayt (a.s.). This is not achieved except by “Muwalat”. That is, accepting the guardianship of God Almighty, and being under the Wilayat of Allah.”

“In the Quran, two types of Wilayah are mentioned, namely the Wilayah of Allah and the Wilayah of Satan. The Wilayah of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the Imams (a.s.) are all under the Wilayah of Allah. We should also seek disavowal from the enemies of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Throughout history, there has always been oppression, tyranny, and colonialism, and there have always been people who exploited mankind,” he said commenting on Ziyarat Ashura.

“Only the truth front can stand against the falsehood front. God sent his prophets to spread mercy and peace among mankind and bring people to the right path,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“In the Quran, there are about 400 verses about resistance, jihad, and confrontation. In some Quranic verses, wars such as Badr, Uhud, and Ahzab are mentioned, so that we know that we must stand in front of falsehood and confront it,” he stated.

“We must stand against oppression. In the absence of imams, the qualified (Jami' al-Shara’it) Faqih (or Mujtahid) must stand against oppression. The late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) taught us this great culture and lesson, and his rightful student, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, taught us this lesson too, and we should appreciate it,” he expressed.

“Enemies want to take Sharia from Muslims. Some young people are unaware of this. Therefore, the media should properly produce content-rich programs in this regard,” he emphasized.

“Enjoining the good and forbidding the bad, which is ordered in Islam, stands and confronts social anomalies, oppression, and tyranny,” he added.

“In mourning ceremonies, Ashur thought should be promoted in people. We should use all our capacities and by studying in this field, promote Ashura thought,” Ayatollah Ramazani said at the end of his speech.
