Al Khalifa considers Bahrain as booty/ Despite the repressions, Bahrainis aren’t frustrated from achieving victory: Sayed Morteza Al-Sendi

A senior member of the Al-Wafa Islamic Movement of Bahrain stated, “Members of the House of Al Khalifa consider Bahrain as their family and tribal booty. Therefore, they oppress Bahraini citizens with discrimination. This was one of the reasons for the February 14 Revolution in Bahrain.”

ABWA Official Website – Mentioning the reasons for the Revolution in Bahrain, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Morteza Al-Sendi stated, “There were several reasons for the February 14 Revolution in Bahrain, one of which was discrimination among the children of the Bahraini nation. Another reason is the dominance of the Al Khalifa House over all branches of power in Bahrain, including the executive, legislative and judicial branches. This House was not satisfied with this amount and dominated the wealth of Bahrain. For instance, accurate statistics on the amount of Bahrain’s oil extraction and export are not available, and it is not known how much of it is spent on building the country’s infrastructure.”

In an interview with ABNA News Agency, he said, “Another reason for the February 14 Revolution was oppression and political division in Bahrain. The most important executive positions in Bahrain are held by the Al Khalifa family, which holds a large number of executive positions. In the past, 60% of the seats in the ministries were at the disposal of the Al Khalifa family. Now, there are more general managers in ministries than members of the Al Khalifa family. Members of the House of Al Khalifa consider Bahrain as their family and tribal booty. Therefore, they oppress Bahraini citizens with discrimination. This was one of the reasons for the February 14 Revolution in Bahrain.”

“There is religious discrimination in Bahrain. With the aim of changing the demographic composition of the country, the Al Khalifa regime grants Bahraini citizenship to foreign nationals. The majority of Bahrain’s population is Shiite, but the country is ruled by a group hiding behind Sunnis. The government of Bahrain is a tribal and primitive government that loots the country’s wealth and has deprived Bahrainis, both Shiite and Sunni, of this wealth,” stated the senior member of the Al-Wafa Islamic Movement of Bahrain.

Pointing out the Al Khalifa attempts to change the demographic composition of Bahrain, Al-Sendi stated, “The project of granting citizenship to foreigners by the Al Khalifa regime is based on loyalty. People who are brought to Bahrain from abroad by the Al Khalifa regime, after receiving citizenship, get many privileges, including the privileges of employment in security agencies, receiving scholarships, and houses. This is meanwhile that Bahraini citizens, both Shiite and Sunni, are deprived of these privileges. At the beginning of the Bahraini Revolution, different sections of the people, both Shiite and Sunni, and even liberals participated in it. But after the Al Khalifa regime created panic and the Saudi regime entered the country’s affairs, many Bahraini Sunni citizens separated from the revolutionary movement in the country.”

“Regional and international actors had two different approaches regarding the Bahraini Revolution,” he continued, “The Arab countries of the Persian Gulf supported the Al Khalifa regime and sent the Persian Gulf Shield Forces to Bahrain to suppress the Revolution. Especially when they realized that this revolution is spreading, and the Al Khalifa regime cannot deal with the wave of the revolutionary people of Bahrain. The Persian Gulf Shield forces intervened militarily in Bahrain and participated in killing people, destroying mosques, and violating human rights.”

“The official position of Western governments, especially the United States and Britain, is to support the Al Khalifa regime. Because these countries have interests in Bahrain, including the 5th fleet of the US Navy and the British military base in the country. But Western human rights organizations had many positions in condemning human rights violations in Bahrain. The cases of these condemnations are rare, and perhaps, only the cases of condemnations of the actions of the Zionist regime by the human rights organizations are more than that of the Bahraini Al Khalifa Regime,” stated the senior member of the Al-Wafa Islamic Movement of Bahrain.

Referring to the opinion of the people of Bahrain regarding the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime, Al-Sendi said, “The Al Khalifa regime has normalized relations with the Zionist regime in various fields, including security. The regime has handed over the security sector of Bahrain to the Mossad and Shabak services of the Zionist regime. Also, many contracts have been signed between the Al Khalifa and the Zionist regimes in the economic, educational, and medical sectors. But in contrast to these agreements, we witness the united stance of different sections of Bahrain in opposition to the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime. An example of that was the protest demonstration of the Bahrainis in Manama against the holding of the Jewish celebration in the city, which led to the closing of the celebration.”

“In the reports of the Zionists about the normalization of relations between the Al Khalifa and Zionist regimes, it is pointed out that although the ruling family in Bahrain has opened the doors to the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime, there is strong opposition from the people of Bahrain towards this issue. The Zionists are trying to provide the best services to the Al Khalifa so that Bahrain can be a successful example of normalizing relations with the Zionist regime, and as a result, the Al Khalifa regime itself will encourage other countries to normalize relations with the Zionists. But in the meantime, Al Khalifa has faced the opposition of all sections of the Bahraini nation to normalize relations with the Zionists, which is a difficult test for the regime,” he continued.

“Bahrani people insist on continuing their revolutionary movement to reach their demands and desires. Of course, there are difficulties and obstacles on this path. Western governments support the Al Khalifa regime in the military, security, educational, and political sectors. They know that the victory of the Bahraini people over the Al Khalifa regime means a decrease in their influence in the region. Therefore, there is a lot of support from the United States, Britain, and the Zionist regime for the Al Khalifa regime. But Bahrainis, despite all the repressions, have not been disappointed, and anyone who trusts in God will eventually achieve their goals. We very much hope that the demands of the people of Bahrain and freedom from the Al Khalifa regime will be realized, a regime that sold all the values by falling into the hands of the Zionists,” stated the senior member of the Al-Wafa Islamic Movement of Bahrain in the end. /345/
