Islam sacrificed to defend women’s rights: Ayatollah Ramazani

The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The Islamic Revolution is not against freedom but against debauchery.”

ABWA Official Website – During the mourning ceremony on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (a.s.) in the Jafari Mosque in Someh Sara, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “One of the important topics introduced in the Quran and hadiths is a faithful life. Prophets came from God to introduce a specific type of life with specific conditions to the human and religious community. The prophets came to introduce the right way of living and the path and the destination to people so they would not be confused in knowing their way.”

Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Many people do not know and do not understand the way of life. They understand life only in terms of material and facade. On the other hand, some have seen life with a deep perspective and understood its profound meaning. The definition of life depends on the way we humans look at it. With a superficial and materialistic view of life, and knowing the world on this basis, the spiritual world will not have meaning. But with a different look and belief, everything will be different.”

“An atheist, hypocrite, polytheist, or infidel, who does not believe in God, the world of the unseen, and Imams, is an arrogant person and opposes the Sharia, decrees, and divine orders, and does not submit himself to the Prophet. Some people entrust themselves to the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and consider everything he says as human felicity. Because God created man and better knows his desires. He knows man’s way of felicity better than anyone. Therefore, a believer submits to God’s orders,” added the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“Those who believe, follow God’s orders to achieve worldly and hereafter felicity. Following God and His Messenger is the way to attain a good and pure life. A pure life means that the beliefs, thoughts, and actions of a righteous person should be pure. This (the worldly) life should be pure. This type of life is called a religious life, in which everyone knows his place correctly. Whether a leader, cleric, clergy, governor, minister, lawyer, farmer, etc., behaves properly,” Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized.

Referring to the character dimension of people, the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts said, “From the Quranic point of view, the factor that forms human personality is the increase of beliefs and faith. From an ethical point of view, what raises the status of a person is his faith and beliefs.”

Further, referring to the Quranic verses on raising the status of man, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “A person must consider the situations for enjoining good and forbidding wrong. It is important to do righteous deeds and do them at the right time and place. Otherwise, the deed, no matter how valid it is, is not valuable. Because the way of guiding people is very important.”

“Religion (Islam) means life in the true sense of the word,” he stated, “Religion (Islam) teaches a person how to behave in the home or outside, and in the face of society members, men or women.”

Referring to the words of the Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h) who asked his companions, “What will you do when your society becomes corrupt?”, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly reminded, “The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) knew that one day the society will reach a level wherein the wrong will be enjoined, the good will be forbidden, and the righteous deed will be mocked.”

“Sometimes due to deviation, the society reaches a point where it considers good as wrong and wrong as good, and this is very dangerous. At that time, prayer, fasting, Hajj, enjoining good, and forbidding wrong will become bad, and in contrast, irreligion, debauchery, and nudity will be considered as good. Such a society is perverted. That is, the same view of liberalism that exists in the West, which believes in absolute freedom and society,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

“Religion has come to define life and guide it. Religion is about how to live and breathe, how to think and communicate properly. Without a proper understanding of life, human life becomes worse than animals. If the person and the society do not take a stand against the evils, that person and the society are considered dead,” emphasized the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Some consider life to be debauch, arrogance, pleasure, joy, and material enjoyment. The Quran introduces the right life to humanity as the right understanding, the right knowledge of the way and path, helping others, and self-improving ethics. Material life is a tool of life, a tool that we all have to use and pass through. This is where the world is a farm for a believer to sow the righteous deeds, and a farm for an unbeliever to sow evil seeds,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“In human life, death has no meaning. A person should make his eternity with ethics, politeness, belief, and righteous deeds. Man should be on such a path that he is always ready to live and always ready to die as if he wants to die tomorrow or the next moment. Man should build both the facade and the reality parts of his life. Eternal life must be created by ourselves. We are the guests of our actions and beliefs in the Day of Resurrection. What we have made in the material world, we will reap there,” emphasized the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“When the Quran speaks about women, it defends them. Islam sacrificed to defend the women’s tights. During the time of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), people had the worst kind of cruelty towards women and girls. But Islam came and saved women from slavery. Islam came to save humanity from slavery,” Ayatollah Ramezani said.

“Life does not mean a relationship with women, in the form of nudity, debauchery, and promiscuity. Life means chastity and purity. Islam defends women’s rights. In the Holy Quran, women’s rights have been defended in the most comprehensive way. The Quran does not differentiate between men and women in humanity and the slavery of God, and he does not consider gender in humanity. According to the Quran, humanity is not equal to being a man but includes both men and women,” he added.

“The addresses of the Quran are based on the faith of individuals, and there is no difference between men and women. Faith is a single truth that both men and women can enjoy,” emphasized the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“What some are looking for has been imported from the West under feminism as a defense of women’s rights. But in the West, most crimes are committed against women,” Ayatollah Ramezani emphasized.

“Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) is a chaste, brave, devout, who benefits from spiritual positions. The Prophet (p.b.u.h), even though he had other daughters, because of the position and status of Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.), he would get up from his place to respect her and respect her very much. These were due to her chastity,” said the representative of the people of Gilan in the assembly of leadership experts.

“Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, Islamic Iran has been trying to promote the position of women and provide a correct definition of life. The Islamic Revolution of Iran occurred to free us from shackles. We are against freedom in the sense of debauchery and nudity, but we are not against the principle of freedom. Parvenu and upstart people use these expressions to deceive public opinion. While we have sacrificed a lot for (real) freedom. About two hundred and twenty thousand martyrs sacrificed for Islamic Iran for the cause of truth, of which 17 thousand martyrs were victims of assassination and terrorism from different strata of society, to achieve freedom and life in the true sense of the word; in order for the women to be in their position as a noble and chaste human being,” Ayatollah Ramezani emphasized.

“They (enemies) use the terms of woman, life, and freedom. But which woman, in what sense? And which freedom in what sense? And which life? Does the religion (Islam) allow the use of these concepts in the sense of being free of principles?” added the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“In Sweden, blasphemy is not a crime. How can insulting the Quran and holy people be allowed?! These are crimes and the enemies seek to normalize these crimes so that nothing sacred remains,” he added.

“We believe that Imam Hussain (a.s.) was martyred so that people would respect sacred things. Yazid used Sharia, sacred things, and man as a tool for any type of oppression he wanted to do. Imam Hussain (a.s.) sacrificed his life and his head, and his children were captured so that the sacred matter would remain sacred,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“Faithful life has its own equipment and literature. In the West, bad things are taught to children in schools to promote nudity. The enemy wants to remove the Chador (veil) from our women. Of course, Iranian women have always been known to have religious zeal, and today only a few have been deceived,” emphasized the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“We are against any type of corruption in society. Because pure blood has been sacrificed in the way of the Islamic Revolution. All officials should try to solve unemployment and other problems in society. Officials must be experts and have jihadi (volunteer) management, and dedicate themselves to the people, and be their servants,” he added in the continuation of his speech.

“Western youth suffer from not having a clear identity. But Imam Khomeini (r.a.) and the Islamic Revolution gave us an identity,” he said in the end.
