Friday prayer leader of Abhar said, “The emigration of the late Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari was influential. When the ulama emigrate to a country, they revive the Shiite school. Throughout history, there have been many migrations of scholars, all of which have led to the progress and excellence of the Shia. The emigration of the late Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari is the same. Today, Swiss Shiites find a true identity by relying on the center he founded.”
On Saturday, March 5, 2022, on the first anniversary of Hojat al-Islam Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari, the specialized conference “The situation of Shia in the West” was held.
In this conference, the Friday prayer leader of Abhar stated, “By emigrating to Switzerland, the late Sayed Moqtada Hosseini Abhari became a source of many blessings. With the establishment of an institution for Shiites in the land of exile, the late Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari caused the growth, development and education of Shiites.”
“We ask God Almighty for the highest degrees and divine mercy for the deceased, and we appreciate his esteemed son, who continues the activities of the institute in Switzerland,” added Hojat al-Islam Saeed Moradpur.
“Emigration has a broad meaning in the religious sense and does not simply mean migrating from one place to another. This word sometimes means migrating from bad traits, moral vices, and ignorance towards the knowledge of God, acquiring moral virtues and spiritual growth. Emigration also means moving from one region to another to advance divine and religious goals,” he said about the value of emigration in Islam.
“He was an immigrant for the sake of God who emigrated from his city and country to propagate the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). For the ulama, it is desirable to live in Najaf, Qom, Mashhad, and scientific centers and be among the ulama. But for the scholars, the sacrifice is to migrate to the cities of exile, which they do not like, for the sake of God,” the Friday prayer leader of Abhar stated, regarding the characteristics of the late Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari.
“The emigration of the late Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari was influential. When the ulama emigrate to a country, they revive the Shiite school. Throughout history, there have been many migrations of scholars, all of which have led to the progress and excellence of the Shia. The emigration of the late Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari is the same. Today, Swiss Shiites find a true identity by relying on the center he founded,” he added.
In a hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) has introduced migration as an example of monasticism. Semantically, monasticism means separation from people, self-purification, and seeking closeness to God. In the Holy Quran God says that monasticism is not in Islam and that Christianity had created it. But monasticism in the Islam is not an escape from the people and society; rather, it is living among the people, and maintaining faith. In a speech, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution said, ‘The thing that distinguishes the ulama of Islam from others is that they go among the sinners and the corrupt in the weapons of piety and piety in the non-Muslim countries, correct them and do not pollute themselves’. This is very valuable and that is the meaning of monasticism in Islam,” Moradpur said about the meaning of monasticism in Islam.
“Seeking closeness to God is achieved by migrating to the required areas and being present in the field of jihad with the conspiracies of disbelief. Jihad is not always with the sword. The late Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari emigrated from his hometown and waged a cultural jihad against infidelity. The way to self-purification, serving Islam and seeking closeness to God, is to be present in the field, to defend and strive for divine and religious values, and to protect and take care of them,” he continued.
It should be mentioned that the commemoration of late Hojat al-Islam Haj Sayed Moghtada Hosseini Abhari, and the specialized conference “The situation of Shia in the West” was held virtually by the AhlulBayt (a.s.)
