Spirit of Tawhid visible in Arbaeen, Ashura confrontation between reason, ignorance fronts: Ramazani

The meeting of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly with the Mawkeb owners and international activists of Arbaeen was held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the conference hall of the Assembly in the presence of Ayatollah Ramazani, the Secretary-General.

In this meeting, referring to the need to address the capacities of Arbaeen, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “We should not look at Arbaeen superficially. The Majlis of Imam Hussein (a.s.) has capacities in various fields, especially in the fields of politics and culture, which are not usually used. The Arbaeen pilgrimage should be recognized as a phenomenon in various dimensions, like the Majlis of Imam Hussein (a.s.). The phenomenology of Arbaeen can lead us to recognize its greatness.”

“Arbaeen has several capacities, of which we can mention the emotional connection as its huge capacity. There is no more emotional phenomenon than the tragic event of Karbala. So that it creates an internal revolution. The other dimension of Arbaeen is its moral and behavioral dimension,” he continued.

“Many divine rewards have been mentioned for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. In the pilgrimage of Arbaeen Walk, at every step, the pilgrim can pay attention to the praising and praying God. The spirit of Tawhid can be seen in Arbaeen. If the Covid-19 pandemic had not spread, Arbaeen would have been more glorious every year than last year,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Ashura was a confrontation between the fronts of reason and ignorance. On one side was the front of virtues, and on the other was the front of vices. In mourning for Imam Hussein (a.s.), feelings, emotions, and rationality should be placed next to each other,” stated Ayatollah Ramazani, considering Imam Hussein (a.s.) as a comprehensive role model.

“There are different dimensions in the issue of Arbaeen that should be observed simultaneously,” he continued.

“Ziyarat Ashura teaches us 20 positions, including the position of Tawalli (loving God, Prophet and his family – AhlulBayt), and the position of nearness to God in the path of conduct,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“These capacities need more attention. They have intellectual, educational, social, and political dimensions and should not be neglected,” stated Ayatollah Ramazani, considering it necessary to pay attention to the capacities of Arbaeen.

“The international aspect of Arbaeen should be paid more attention. Of course, the greater the capacity of a phenomenon, the greater the possibility of misunderstanding it. For example, in the case of Ashura and mourning for Imam Hussein (a.s.), some misconceptions have been made. While according to Imam Khomeini, our crying in mourning (for Imam Hussein) is also political,” he continued.

“We must use the capacities of Arbaeen in various fields,” concluded the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
