Commemoration of 40th day of Ayatollah Shabestari’s demise in Qom, Tehran

On the 40th day after the demise of the late Ayatollah Mohsen Mojtahed Shabestari, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, commemoration ceremonies will be held in Qom and Tehran.

Commemoration of 40th day of Ayatollah Shabestari’s demise in Qom, Tehran

On the 40th day after the demise of the late Ayatollah Mohsen Mojtahed Shabestari, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, commemoration ceremonies will be held in Qom and Tehran.

The ceremony will be held in Qom, on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 6:30 pm in the holy shrine of Lady Masoumeh (a.s.), Imam Khomeini (r.a.) nave, with a speech by Hojat al-Islam Sayed Reza Taqavi.

Also, the ceremony will be held in Tehran, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 3 to 7 pm, Fatemi Square, Noor Mosque, with a speech by Hojat al-Islam Sediqi.

It should be mentioned that Ayatollah Mohsen Mojtahed Shabestari, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, one of the pioneers of jihad and ijtihad, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the age of 84.

He was one of the students of Imam Khomeini (r.a.), and one of the activists of the Islamic Movement, and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he held positions such as representation in the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

In 1994, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution appointed Ayatollah Mojtahed Shabestari, as the Friday Prayer Imam of Tabriz, the position which he held until 2017.

The chairmanship of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly , the Friday Imamate of Tabriz, membership in the Combatant Clergy Association, ‌membership in the Assembly of Leadership Experts and membership in the Expediency Council were other responsibilities of the deceased.

مجمع جهانی اهل‎بیت(علیهم‎السلام) دارای اساسنامه‎ای مشتمل بر هشت فصل و سی و سه ماده است.
