Ayatollah Khosroshahi very far-sighted, patient man: Molawi shaq Madani

To commemorate the second anniversary of the demise of Ayatollah Sayed Hadi Khosroshahi, the webinar “Man of Approximation Square” was held on Sunday evening, February 20, 2022, by the Office for Iran Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and similar institutions.

In this webinar, Molawi Eshaq Madani, a member of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, stated, “Ayatollah Khosroshahi advocated unity and proximity even before the Islamic Revolution, and had very close ties with Islamic parties inside and outside Iran.”

“During my visit to Pakistan with Ayatollah Khosroshahi, I saw that he was acquainted with many people there. He acted as if he had known them for a long time. They also welcomed Ayatollah Khosroshahi very much and considered him a person who fully supports proximity, in every sense and without prejudice,” he continued.

“This does not mean that he was negligent about his religion. Rather, just as he respected and adhered to his own opinion, he also gave others the right to adhere to their own opinion,” Molawi Eshaq Madani added.

“Ayatollah Khosroshahi was a very far-sighted, open-minded and patient, and had Islamic conduct towards all those who knew him,” he clarified.

“Ayatollah Khosroshahi read and criticized the books of the Muslim Brotherhood well. They also criticized his views. These intimate activities are something we should all follow. We must move with Islamic commonalities towards that great goal, which is to protect the origin and roots of Islam. Islamic denominations must grasp these issues,” said the member of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.

“How can we expect our religion to spread when we see that the Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h), the Quran and our common sanctities are being insulted? Is our religion other than these things? In fact, we have sacred commonalities that we accept and are the roots of our religion, whether Shiite or Sunni. Ayatollah Khosroshahi had such a characteristic. All Sunni scholars respected him, and he also interacted with Sunni scholars like close friends,” he continued.

“We hope that others will follow this kind of people and continue their path, and that they will always be remembered for their merits and goodness. Because they somehow paved the way for us. God willing, such figures will be more in our society day by day. We must show the real unity between Shiites and Sunnis in practice,” Molwi Eshaq Madani said in the end.
