The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Today, individual research is not enough. Therefore, research must be collective. Group research itself is an example of capacity building. The amount of information and individual power is limited.”

ABWA Official Website – On Thursday, December 15, 2022, the session “Requirements, Principles of Translation and Publication of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Teachings in India” and the review and criticism of the translation of two books “Al-Islam Manhaj Mashregh al-Hayat” in Hindi and “Nahj Al-Hayat, The Collection of Hadith if Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) (The Manifestations of infallibility)” in Urdu was held in AhlulBayt (a.s.) Hall of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Qom.

In this session, while congratulating on the occasion of Research Week, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Today, considering the golden and rare opportunity that has arisen to propagate the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school in the world, research is of great importance.”

“It is important to translate works by considering the requirements. But our emphasis has been to go towards authoring. In this regard, we must identify the native writers of each region. By writing books according to the plans, they will introduce the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school to the general public of their society,” he said about the policies of the Assembly in the new phase.

“Research should be based on the real needs of society in different fields,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “Research should be problem-oriented, not profit-oriented, and not market-oriented.”

Introducing observing the ethics as one of the requirements of research, he added, “In line with research ethics, all aspects of ethics and authors’ rights must be observed.”

“At least one session of theorizing and reviewing books and works should be held every month by the Department of the Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly. Criticisms should be scholarly and fair, and along with the shortcomings, the strengths of the work should also be stated,” continued the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly by emphasizing the expansion of theoretical seats.

Emphasizing the necessity of synergy in research, he said, “Synergy is to avoid parallel and repetitive work, and to maximize the organization’s efficiency. There are many problems and intact fields for research, and it is necessary to use the maximum capacity to address these fields.”

“Group work is very important in research,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “Today, individual research is not enough. Therefore, research must be collective. Group research itself is an example of capacity building. The amount of information and individual power is limited. Some things cannot be performed well in individual research. Some books that are researched in groups in the West have several thousand sources.”

“Shiite intellectual and political schools in the field of research should be monitored. Environmental knowledge of Shiite schools and surrounding groups, and knowing the harms and requirements is necessary and should be continuous. In the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution emphasized that in addition to communicating with the people, the Assembly should introduce the greatness of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school to the elites of the countries,” he continued.

“Research and science lead to the independence of a country. Research should be done in all works, and according to experience, some important works are left unfinished due to lack of research. Considering the abundance of content in AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, research items should be productive and not imitative. We should also present our rich content to the world in the best possible format,” said the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Regarding the need to pay attention to future studies, he said, “With research and future studies, we must define a scenario for the future of human society, what will happen if liberalism dominates in Islamic countries. Therefore, in addition to studies and research about the present, we must create scenarios for the future and have a vision about the future.”

About the book “Nahj Al-Hayat, The Collection of Hadith if Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) (The Manifestations of infallibility), the professor of the high levels of the seminary stated, “To express the issues and introduce the unique character of Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) for each nation, we must use the language of that nation. In Germany, for the translation of the book “Mafatih Al-Hayat” I emphasized that some phrases should be explained in order to avoid raising doubts. Therefore, the translator must be familiar with the language and culture of the region and its literature – not just the colloquial language.”

In brief report of his recent visit to India, he said, “One of the approvals of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was holding of regional conferences, and the visit to India was in this direction. This visit was planned in previous years but was not possible due to the covid-19 pandemic. In India, with the presence of more than 200 ulama, Friday and congregation prayer imams, the local meeting of AhlulBayt (a.s.) was held. Also, we had a specialized meeting in the form of a workshop in the Alipur.”

“Also, in addition to giving several lectures in different centers, we held a meeting for missionaries in Jamaat al-Zahra (a.s.) of India with the presence of women. Another program in India was visits to several seminaries and two imambargahs (places for Shiite religious events in India),” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“In India, there is a great capacity to propagate the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school,” he added, “India has unique capacities. Therefore, for activity in India, a needs assessment should be carried out to specify in which fields we should operate.”

At the end of this session, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly expressed gratitude to the top researchers in the field of authoring, translation, and research by presenting a plaque of appreciation. /345/
