ABWA Official Website – The exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” was held on Saturday morning, December 31, 2022, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.
At the beginning of the opening ceremony, the Deputy for the Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Among the activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is the strengthening of small and private institutions active in the field of international propagation of Islam,” he added, “Care and support of independent institutions in this field is one of the important tasks of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.”
“Small institutions must have a synergistic approach, and the establishment of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition is the first important step to reach this goal. Acquaintance of large institutions and governmental institutions with institutions active in the international propagation of Islam, as well as observation of their activities, creates the basis for cooperation and, as a result, outsourcing,” Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mahdi Farmanian added.
“To invite to participate in the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly observed seventy institutions active in the international propagation, but due to the limitation of the venue of the exhibition, only 30 non-governmental institutions were able to set up a booth. This exhibition will be held for one week on the anniversary of the establishing the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary,” he continued.
Further in the ceremony, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Holding such an exhibition can increase acquaintance with these institutions quantitatively and qualitatively, and also create understanding, interaction and synergy, and as a result will cause a transformation in the research and cultural fields related to AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings for the people and elites.”
“In this exhibition, institutions should identify each other’s strengths and weaknesses, recognize needs and avoid repetitive activities,” Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said about the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition.
“Institutions active in the international propagation of Islam must cooperate together. We must be together and support each other. We need to review and redefine strategies and goals. Also, we should avoid doing what other institutions are doing. We should look for demand-oriented research. We must propagate the responsibility-oriented spirituality, and introduce the wisdom which seeks Resurrection, and the different human needs in different spheres to the world society,” he continued.
While emphasizing on the importance of getting to know the environments and audiences, the professor of higher levels of seminary emphasized, “We must be familiar with the needs of different environments in countries in different regions of Europe, America, Africa, etc., and provide content to introduce the of AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings in different formats.”
Further, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly visited the various booths of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition and was informed about the activities of the institutions active in the international propagation of Islam.
