Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Counterfeit spirituality is presented to society in a beautiful form, and this has made this type of spirituality to some extent successful. Seminaries should be standard bearers in promoting spirituality, especially in this era. Spiritual vision and lifestyle should be spread among all strata of people, not reserved only for the elite.”

In this conference, referring to the issue of spirituality, Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Paying attention to the spiritual world is a matter of Fitrah (divine-human nature), and therefore it is always favored. Today, the need to address spirituality is felt from different aspects. There are 4,000 counterfeit spiritualities in Europe and America, and wherever there is a counterfeit, there is obviously an original.”

“Counterfeit spirituality is presented to society in a beautiful form, and this has made this type of spirituality to some extent successful. Seminaries should be standard bearers in promoting spirituality, especially in this era. Although there are currently some shortcomings in this regard. Spiritual vision and lifestyle should be spread among all strata of people, not reserved only for the elite,” he continued.

“Scholars like Grand Ayatollah Bahjat and Grand Ayatollah Bahaadini are not found in the list of 100 spiritual figures of the world. Because we could not introduce these spiritual scholars to the world in today’s language, and these spiritual figures are less known by the world. Allameh Hassanzadeh Amoli was a mujtahid in various sciences, who was neglected to some extent. He was a mujtahid in both Akbar Fiqh (“Major Islamic Jurisprudence” or “Theology of Islam”: the study of Islamic principles and beliefs related to Allah, the afterlife, and other religious matters) and Asghar Fiqh (“Minor Islamic Jurisprudence” or “Practical Islamic Law”: is concerned with practical Islamic jurisprudence and the implementation of Sharia law in daily life),” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to Allameh Hassanzadeh Amoli’s view of spirituality, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “He believed that if society wants to be alive, it should pay attention to spirituality. Allameh Hassanzadeh Amoli, referring to the Hadiths of AhlulBayt (a.s.), emphasized that “real self-knowledge can open a platform for accepting divine knowledge.” He considered spiritual progress step by step. That is, for the spiritual manifestation, man must create spiritual development in himself. If this capacity is created in a human being, he can gradually benefit from those truths and intuition.”

“Another component in Islamic spirituality is worship-oriented spirituality. That is, for man to become his own owner, and to gain comprehensive knowledge about his surroundings, he must reach the position of worshiping God. This cannot be achieved except through the position of worshiping God. Allameh Hassanzadeh said that “a person must submit to God and perform God’s commands unquestionably in order to reach Dar al-Salam (a place of peace and comfort).” He emphasized respect for God in his works,” he continued.

“Allameh Hassanzadeh believed that the Holy Quran gives human beings comprehensive politeness and respect. Man should use this politeness to benefit from spiritual blessings and manifestations. Some people want some kind of spiritual journey to reach the destination and goal quickly. While Allameh Hassanzadeh emphasized that in the field of spiritual conduct, it is essential to observe the rules. It is not possible for a person to reach spiritual status with only a few mentions. Achieving spirituality should be done patiently and with instantaneous care,” added the professor of higher levels of Qom Seminary.

“Rational and contemplative spirituality was emphasized by Allameh Hassanzadeh. To achieve spirituality, a person must be separated from all attachments. Otherwise, there is a defect in his spiritual conduct. Many people close the way to themselves with their own hands. Such a person is deprived of everything,” Ayatollah Ramezani clarified.

“The spirituality that was in Allameh Hassanzadeh’s words is a responsible spirituality. The spirituality of the Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) make man a responsible person. While a version of spirituality is presented in the world that makes people avoid responsibility. They seek to raise a reclusive person who avoids responsibility. While, in the Islamic teachings, human beings are introduced as individuals that feel responsibility for everything,” he said at the end of his lecture.
